IT

Pupils are taught ICT in discrete lessons and are given opportunities to further develop these skills across the curriculum. The school uses a range of ICT equipment across subject areas such as kindles, iPads, Programming software, Mac computers and animation equipment.

Pupils are given the opportunity to use ICT equipment to;

· communicate with others (individuals and the wider community)

· solve problems

· process information

· store and retrieve information

· consolidate concepts learned in other areas

· develop e-safety strategies

 

All year groups gain experience of a variety of skills and associated media and schemes of work are developed to build on previous year’s achievements. These skills are revisited within each year group giving individuals the opportunity to consolidate their learning and attempt new challenges.
