Where would you take a selfie? 

For this term the students voted on which country they were most interested in on which to study.  The students voted that they would like to study Egypt as their focus country. We will be researching the main religions in Egypt, studying the geographical area of Egypt, researching the history of the great Egyptian pyramids and visited them via Google maps.  We will use this information to create a holiday advertisement. 

During the Chinese New Year festival, we will look into the history of the festival, make Chinese dragons, lanterns at the start and end of festival.  We will make egg fried rice and taste prawn crackers. 

The students have continued with their chosen subjects from Arts Award, Food Technology, BTEC/Entry ICT, BTEC Sports, GCSE/Entry Level Geography, GCSE/Entry Level History.  For Science we will be looking in depth into electrical circuits

Time Travel: Faster than the Speed of Light. 

For this half term the children have chosen subjects they have wanted to expand further.  They have chosen Geography or History, Arts Award or Food Technology, BTEC ICT or BTEC sports.

This term we will be studying all our Science work during a Science Week. We will be exploring; ‘Science and our universe’ and ‘The science of light and sound.’
