Cymraeg | Welsh

Welsh is taught through a variety of teaching styles, and where possible it is developed through the whole curriculum to incorporate oral, reading and writing skills. Craft, games, ICT and animation are used as a stimulus for language, allowing pupils to develop their Welsh language skills in a risk free setting.

All work developed in the Welsh language has relevance to the pupils, reflecting their real and imaginary experiences and daily life in school and at home. Termly topics and stimulating materials are used to encourage the pupils to communicate with each other through the medium of Welsh. The pupils hear a variety of stories and songs from Wales and from around the world. The pupils are levelled in line with the National Curriculum at KS3.
