Dear Parent/Carer

I would like to take this opportunity to clarify end-of-term arrangements in Bridgend schools.

I can confirm the following:

·       all Bridgend schools will close on Friday 18 December;

·       the last day of term for sixth form students to physically attend school will be Friday 11 December; and

·       secondary schools will provide online learning only for all sixth form students during the week commencing Monday 14 December.

This means that all pupils of a statutory school age (and those attending nursery settings) will attend school up to, and including, Friday 18 December.

Sixth form pupils (ie all Year 12 and Year 13 learners) will physically attend school up to, and including Friday 11 December. However, during the week commencing Monday 14 December, sixth form learners in Bridgend schools will receive online learning only.

Please be assured that the local authority and its schools are continuing to do everything possible to prioritise your child’s safety and educational needs.
